About Me

I’ll be honest, I haven’t always loved to cook.  In fact, my mom still marvels at the fact that I love to cook now, as she’ll be the first to tell you, when I lived at home it was like pulling teeth to get me to help out in the kitchen.  Over time though, I’ve become fascinated by the artistry and chemistry of cooking and baking (plus, let’s face it, I love to eat good food, but lack the budget to dine out at 4 star restaurants every night).

I work for a gourmet health food company, which inspires me to try to eat healthy, organic, whole foods as much as possible.  But, I have a major sweet tooth, so don’t be surprised when the recipes featured here skew toward the sweet side…

Mostly, I just love to share my favorite recipes and meals with friends and loved ones, yet struggle sometimes to find the motivation to cook.  With stacks of cookbooks all marked and dog eared with recipes to try, my hope is that Cracked Pepper will serve as an inspiration and community, for myself and it’s readers.
